Making getting around Roanoke easy, accessible, and sustainable for everyone.

AS MAYOR I WILL:

  • Support expansion of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport Runway. This will allow us to increase flights for business travel and tourism and help grow our region’s economic footprint

  • Work with regional partners to expand our Public Transit service area

  • Expand our service area for vulnerable citizens and senior adults for medical transport via RADAR and other local transportation providers

  • Encourage a return of peak service to Valley Metro, reducing wait time and increasing ridership

  • Continue progress on placing more bus shelters throughout the city and service area

  • Work to add another 5 hours to our morning MetroFLX micro-transit service to fully cover all three work shifts

  • Welcome three new Electric Buses into our service fleet in 2025

  • Investment in street and sidewalk infrastructure throughout the city

  • Investment in Complete Streets and Vision Zero initiatives to strengthen pedestrian and bicycle safety
